Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.
Elizabeth Stone

My nephew that is staying with me makes my heart fill with joy and ache at the same time. Joy is easy to explain, the ache is because I miss my own babies, who are now wonderful young men. Here are some of the cute pictures we got this weekend.

We started off with the "dreaded" haircut...

Then aunie steps in to help...

At last a smile because its over!

Then we got the harley baby!

Finally exhausted I got the perfect picture...

I hope you have a wonderful week!

This is the floating pier at the park we went to sunday which is about a mile from our house.

This is my sister being funny...

This is me, trying not to drop my camera...

These are the cypress trees that grow and live in the lake...

Here are some pictures I took when I moved here from the boat and I actually just remembered them and thought I would share...

And last but not least...This...I dont know what it is so I took a picture and I am putting it on here in hopes that someone will see it and tell me what it is. It was in the park on land not water...so let me know???

Show me your garden and I shall tell you what you are.

Me??? I am NEW. If any of you have happen to have caught my blog from the early part you will see that I had a page on "FIRST" things in my life. I still continue to amaze myself with the "first" things I am still doing. I hope to continue on finding new "first's" till I am at least say...oh...70ish. Then after that I want to be a "know it all, cuz I pretty much have done it all" (wink)

Awsome! Awsome! Awsome! My Guy! Worked from dawn till noon shoveling cement into holes in the drive at his word and then came home and broke this ground for me until dusk...

Did I mention he is Awsome?!?

A special thank you to James and Amy for lending us the tiller for my "First" garden.

We put the plants in this afternoon. I am crossing my fingers and whispering a prayer. Please Lord let our little garden grow.

Oh yeah and while we were at church this morning my guy was busy making something for me and my garden...he found a pole in the shop and some leftover cement...

Do you mind me repeating myself? Did I mention he is Amazing?!?

Peace be with you all

You cannot step twice into the same river,
for other waters are continually flowing in.

I wanted to blog about new things. New beginnings and such. But I am at loss for words today. Not that it is a bad thing, just a kind of quiet peace in my brain. Nothing running on, no wheels turning. Before I head out to work in the flower bed I want to share some new beginning pictures.

Remember this...

As I was carefully watering my floppy fern yesterday I found this...

I looked at that and thought wow, they are so new, they have their whole birdie lives ahead of them. I still havent built any bird houses. Maybe I will and see if any of these stick around. I know nothing about birds.

I was leaving my friends house last week and I noticed as I stepped off of her steps there was something green trying to poke out of her driveway. The drive is made of rock and mudlike cement mix.Is that right? So I was like what on earth. I watched this thing grow each day and was amazed. This little bud is growing in the busiest place of this entire household and has not been stepped on yet. Nevermind that there is no grass near, this spot is not what you would call fertil soil. I am so impressed with this little thing I took my camera over there and took a picture.

Talk about strength, determination and courage. This little fella has made me take some time out of my day and think, wow, The Lord has a plan for everything. If this little fella doesnt make it at least we know he made it long enough to make me take a stutter step and pause to appreciate new beginnings.

Another new beginning, my sister is staying with us for a while to try and get on her own feet after a divorce. My nephew is here as well...he is a new beginning that amazes me every single day.

Thank you Lord for sharing your children with me. Please send your angels to wrap their wings around each and everyone of them and keep them safe. I am so truely blessed. May the Peace of The Lord be with you all.
